As I look back on 2010 I am humbled by God's goodness and his blessings.
Geoffrey is still working for ICrossing and in fact he celebrated 8 years with the company in October. In his new role he spent quite a few days/nights travelling to such cities as New York, San Fransisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C. to name a few. He went through Bible boot camp in the winter/spring (an 11 week course in which he learned over 500 verses - book, chapter, and key phrase, not the entire verse/chapter), and in the fall of this year he became an elder of our church.
From April to the end of June we both went through foster care training. We had our first placement in October. Taking care of a baby was so much fun and the kids loved him right away. We had him until we went to CO for our Christmas vacation. He was able to go home to his mother with was a huge answer to prayer.
In September Geoff and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary and took a trip to London and Bath, England. We had a fabulous week and were so thankful to my parents for coming down from CO to watch the kids for the week.
I was privileged to go through Bible Boot Camp in the fall with several other ladies from our church and it was a great experience. We learned over 300 verses (they cut out lots of verses so we had it a little easier than the guys did). The class is so much more than learning verses, but it would take too long to describe.
The kids had a great year as well. Kyra was in Gymnastics, Jakob took Golf lessons, Sean played Flag football, and Ryan was in Soccer. In the fall, Sean started Junior High, and is really enjoying the privileges that come with this new phase in life.
Sean and Jakob are both enjoyed going to their first summer camp with the church youth group. While they were away for the week; the younger ones enjoyed several fun nights with mom and dad. We took them mini golfing, clay painting and to a movie.
We ended the year with another wonderful trip to Colorado to visit my parents and brother and sisters. It was great to see everyone again. It didn't snow till the end of the trip, but God was gracious to answer the kid's prayers with just enough snow to go sledding on the very last day.
We are back in AZ and the kids are back in school. We want to wish you all a Happy New Year. One in which God blesses each one of you with more of himself.
Isaiah 9: 6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be on his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
