Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!
Our 2011 year started off with a wonderful gift of a 3 day old baby girl. As many of you know we are a foster family and therefore, have the privilege providing a safe home for babies who need it. This beautiful girl was with us for 10 months and we enjoyed every minute. It was sad to see her go, but we know that living with Grandma was the best place for her to be.
As it is with 4 biological kids in the home, it is full of activities, sports, music, school programs, etc. I won't bore you all with the details, except to say that it was a great year. Our kids are now 13, 12, 10, and 7. Each of them are a blessing and we consider it a great privilege to "...bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Eph. 6:4b
Geoffrey has now been with iCrossing for 8 years and still loves his job. He travels some and is able to work from home quite a bit which is a blessing for the whole family.
My year, as you can imagine, was spent managing the household and taking care of our precious baby girl, and trying my best to keep the kid's schedules straight. No small feat, but the kids were such a big help and really enjoyed helping take care of our small bundle.
So, with the year coming to a close I pray that whatever circumstances God has brought into your life this last year, He will use it to strengthen you for the coming year.
Psalm 121 comes to mind often -
"I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth."
